Does anyone here collect Waterford ornaments?

Crystal Classics (The largest distributor of Waterford Ornaments) has a 2006 Crystal Red Star ornament. I was told by one of the representatives of Crystal Classics that there are only 700 of these ornaments. Crystal Classics got 350 to sell and Macy's Department Store received 350 to sell. Does anyone know if these ornaments will increase in value or know anything else about them? I bought 5 of them in hopes that they will be very popular. They cost $70 each. What should I get my dad for Christmas?

I don't live with him, and we don't have a very close relationship at all. I feel obligated, however, to get him at least something small for Christmas. Last year I bought him a tie, and before that a shave kit. I do not have a ton of money this year, so I'm looking for something very little and inexpensive. He is a very business-focused man, and travels a lot for his job. He is a democrat and is very politically involved. I was thinking I could get him a Waterford democrat donkey ornament, but I'm not sure he would like it. Any ideas?
Just so everyone knows, I love my father very much. Just because we don't have a good relationship, it doesn't mean I will ever stop loving him for being my father.

If you are doing it just because you are obligated, just give him the ornament. But if you kind of care, give him an organizer for when he travels that organizes his passport and what nots.
