What should I make for ceramics class? ?

OK, I have to make some sort of scene. it can't be "stupid" like a snake or snowman, it has to have a degree of difficulty to it.

ex. a group of mushrooms with a caterpillar on them and a gnome under them, or a TV and a guy watching it.

I was thinking of doing a sinking ship with people in the water and life raft (like the Big Valley), but found that to be a bit to hard unless I make the ship really big so i can put details on it. I could do that, but am unconvinced.

What are some things that aren't to terribly hard but are still interesting to do? Thanks.

I have been playing with AMCO Under-glaze pencils and did a fishing scene with the fisherman hooking a fighting walleye with deer on the bank - just like a spot 3 miles from where I live. I had to limit myself to black, dark green, cobalt and dark brown to withstand the cone 10 reduction firing.

I have included some pieces in the blog from a figure modeling class. I rated the blog adult content because of some peoples reaction to nude sculpture.

If you do a sport or other pass time, do something from the sport
If you have a pet, a person doing something with the pet

Do what interests you.

If you are beginning, scale back and be reasonable. Talk to your instructor.
Probably if you put a reasonable effort in that will be fine.

I have been taking figure sculpture for 4 years using high fire stoneware as a non-credit class
Continuing in a ceramics class.

ceramic type ornaments to paint great crafts?

I have painted some small ceramic type ornaments which I am going to put in my Christmas village (approx. 1-1/2 " high--Santa with toy bag, children making snow angels,3 carolers, snowman with "makers", etc. and want to find out where I can find more to paint

I have always bought mine at Michaels. They are starting to get in their stock for this year - I saw them starting to stock shelves a couple of weeks ago
