Fair asking price for a 1/2 carat past present and future pendant?
I am looking to sell a 1/2 carat diamond 14k white gold past present future pendant on craigs lsit in my city. My husband purchased it on sale in december of 2004 for $499, the regular retail price is $699. What would be a good asking price for this when put onto craigslist?
Probably go $100-200 lower than what you originally bought it for. You could also list a price and then follow it with 'or best offer'.
It also depends what kinf of condition it's in. And you may get more money if you take it to a reputible jeweler or whole sale market instead.
Keep in mind, in 2004 gold wasn't worth as much as it is now, I believe it's doubled in value. Why not get it appraised first and then sell it?
