Phantom Opera
How long is a live production of the Phantom of the Opera?
I'm looking into seeing the Phantom of the Opera at the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago, Ill. Does anyone have any idea how long the show will be? I need to know so I can figure out transportation.
Approx. 3 hours. They may start late or have a longer intermission than a typical 15 minutes. Also account for the time it takes people to leave the theatre. Calling the box office or checking the website may be helpful because they can give you the running time of the musical.

How accurate is The Phantom of the Opera?
I have a few questions about the historical accuracy of the show Phantom of the Opera. Did the opera actors actually live inside the opera house? And are there actual catacombs beneath opera houses?
Please post any sources you may have.

Le Opera Granier is a real opera house in Paris. It was opened in 1875 and has underground waterways.
If you do a search on Youtube, there is an interview of Emmy having visited the opera house and getting to go underground.
The book I have says that Leroux was obsessed with detail and wanted to make his writing as accurate as possible.
